Application of intellinest module in sheet metal nesting

in sheet metal processing, nesting is a very important link, often more than 30% of the time is spent on nesting. It is related to the rational use of materials, enterprise costs, profits and other factors. Manual nesting often takes a lot of time and energy, and the application of software such as intellinest can greatly reduce time and increase efficiency

next, we will take an ESAB laser machine as an example to explain the whole process of automatic nesting

1. First, click file open, and the open file dialog box pops up. Select ESAB avcer2 336x72 C, and click open to open it

scrap setting:

scrap refers to the following materials. The dotted box in the figure represents the area that has been typeset, and the parts have been processed, which may have been removed

after selecting generate scrap after nesting (conveniently install and use create skeleton after nesting under winxp/win7/win8 operating system) and use skeleton when nesting, if there is no scrap in the current material library, generate scrap after nesting and enter a record into the material library

operation steps:

1 In the intelligent nesting intellinest interface, click add add, and the following interface will appear:

fill in the customer name, quantity, filer, material group, material type, preferred machine, priority, next operation, and grain direction in sequence. Click add in the above figure, and the system will return to the previous dialog box to continue adding parts


(1) Customer name can be exported from fabrituk to the above part info interface

(2) Items about fabritrak are imported by fabritrak and cannot be manually entered/modified in intellinest

(3). Quantity is the number of parts that must be arranged. If filler is selected, such parts will be used to fill the remaining small space on the plate that is not filled

note: generally, the priority of such parts is not very high, and the size is relatively small. For example, if the number in the figure is 15, there may be 2 rows, 15 rows, or none of these 15 rows

(4). Specify the machine (preferred machine). If the current machine is not processing, and you don't know anything at present, you can consult the machine

device required by our parts, you can specify the machine and specify the corresponding machine material. The state of common cutting is read by the corresponding machine file (material)

(5). Priority: there are two options. The smaller the value, the higher the priority

(6). Grain direction: in parts such as elevator doors, in order to consider beauty or strength, the direction of texture is usually required in design. At this time, when discharging on the plate, it is necessary to unify the texture direction of the part and the texture direction of the plate

other methods of adding parts:

(1) View display part list, click load, add parts, and then click Add to intelligent. All parts in the list will be added to the schedule of intelligent nesting

(2). Intelligentest assembly, click new or open a component, and then click load to load the part corresponding to this component. When finished, click Add to nesting schedule

after all parts are added, they will be added to the list in the interface. Right click in the list (or left click to select the part, and then press okto select below) to select the part to be discharged. The selected part will be preceded by a selected flag

when a part is selected, click Start nesting, and the system will automatically discharge. After nesting, it will switch to nesting job. At the same time, the information of the created scrap will be saved in the material library

if you are not satisfied with the sheet layout created by automatic nesting, you can select the sheet number in the red box and click (Edit) to modify it; You can also click reverse job to return to the schedule and reschedule

click View report to view the generated report. If all tasks are completed, you can click complete job. The corresponding record will turn gray

1 Subroutine tool: this option is only applicable to punch/compound machine. If the part added in the intelligent nesting plan has been assigned tools, and the corresponding tool library is not the current tool library, the system will replace the existing tools on the part with the appropriate tools in the current tool library

2. Tool sequence priority: this option is only applicable to punch/compound machine. If this option is selected and with sequence and code generation is enabled at the same time, the system will pop up the tool sequence priority dialog box before generating the code, so that the user can make relevant settings
